What We Do

Every project starts with a conversation.

Custom Cabinetry

Kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, laundry rooms, and entertainment centers — built from rough lumber or your selected material, finished to match your space.

Built-in Shelving

Floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, window seats, and storage solutions designed to fill awkward corners and unused wall space with purpose and grace.

Trim & Molding

Crown molding, baseboards, wainscoting, chair rails, and door/window casings — the details that define a room's character and completeness.

Home Repair

Stairs, decks, drywall patches, door hangs, and general wood repair — the kind of work that requires a steady hand and an eye for detail.

Furniture & Restore

Tables, benches, desks, and reproduction pieces — or the restoration of heirloom furniture back to its original beauty and function.

Specialty Projects

Pergolas, gazebos, custom doors, fireplace mantels, and the unusual requests that keep the work interesting — and the shop doors open.

About the Shop

Wood has a memory.
We help it speak.

O'Neil's Custom Woodworks is a family-owned workshop in Verona, New York. For over two decades, we've been measuring, cutting, and finishing wood for homeowners across Oneida County — from small repairs that needed a careful touch to whole-room transformations that required a full plan.

Every project begins with a conversation. We listen to what you need, walk through the space, and then come back with a clear proposal — no surprises, no hidden markups. The shop is small by design. That means you work directly with the person who will build your piece, not a project manager who forwards emails.

We source domestic hardwoods — maple, cherry, oak, walnut — and finish each piece with care. Whether it's a kitchen that needs to hold thirty years of dinners or a bookshelf that fits a bay window perfectly, the result is the same: honest work, built to last.

Client Words

What our clients have said.

"We had O'Neil's build a set of kitchen cabinets that fit an oddly shaped space perfectly. Nothing else could have done it. The attention to detail was remarkable — every joint, every finish, exactly as discussed."

— Homeowner, Verona

"They restored a 1920s built-in bookcase in our living room that had been damaged in a renovation. You'd never know it was ever torn apart. It looks better than it did a hundred years ago."

— Homeowner, Rome

"Honest pricing, no upselling, and the work speaks for itself. We've recommended them to three neighbors already. That's how you run a shop — show up, do it right, and let the wood do the talking."

— Homeowner, Utica
